Bridge the gap between AD and Office 365 with CelestixFederated A / VA Series Appliance

Single sign-on (SSO) from anywhere, on any device for domain-joined devices

Users are now able to securely and reliably access Office 365 and other SaaS apps from anywhere, at any time, and from a myriad of devices using their existing AD credentials. Users get a seamless single sign-on experience for Office 365 cloud business solutions including Exchange Server, SharePoint, Lync and other Web Apps. Office 365 and other cloud productivity applications not just increase organizational efficiency but also free up company resources and simplify IT operations.

Seamless Active Directory Integration with Office 365 and other SaaS applications

Office 365 and other cloud apps are outside the firewall and disconnected from on-premises directories. To access these cloud services, user identities need to be created on the cloud service which could mean creating a separate credential directory from corporate credential (AD). It is a burden for IT admins and users to manage multiple logon identities and passwords. To get most out of these cloud collaboration tools, organizations need to ensure that the users have seamless access to all applications via single sign-on.

CelestixFederated Appliance delivers single sign-on for Office 365 and other cloud apps using on-premises AD identities. As the password and application access policy is stored on-premises, identity provisioning for Office 365 requires Directory Synchronization (DirSync) and Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS). AD FS bridges AD with cloud applications and services and DirSync populates the identities and then keep them synchronized to the on-premises identities with the cloud service. However, deploying these two tools is a complex and time consuming process and requires massive technical expertise. The CelestixFederated Appliance simplifies AD FS deployment through a quick setup wizard that guides the user through the process of configuring AD FS service and configuring federated Office365 domain including DirSync AD synchronization.

Robust Reporting, monitoring and alerting system

Infrastructure maintenance requires evaluation and oversight. Metrics are essential for IT controls, and are useful for evaluating progress towards single sign-on objectives. The appliance has a simple AD FS users’ activity report page available through Comet web-based management interface. The Comet dashboard provides simplified monitoring from a single screen for AD FS auditing events that register user login and failures events. It also includes capabilities such as DirSync real-time monitoring. Graphical tools offers easy reference and statistical data.
